Obituary

Susan Darlene Yarbrough, my beloved and beautiful wife of 22 years, triumphed in her 11 year battle with ovarian cancer on June 29, 2013. Her victory was one of the spirit and is reflected in the positive effect she had on the lives of everyone who knew her. Susan was the most loving person anyone could ever encounter. Unlike most of us who feel that people must earn trust and love, Susan started out trusting and loving until someone proved themselves unworthy. Everyone strove to be worthy of that unconditional love and thus became better individuals. She enriched every life she touched. Her employer of over 20 years, Dr. Arnold Stokol treated her as a family member. He and his wife Barbara's many kindnesses will always be appreciated. Her coworkers looked upon her as they would a sister or a mother. Her children adored her and her friends loved her and mourn her passing. Through life's adversities she exhibited amazing grace and resilience. She remained concerned and considerate of others in both her joy and sorrow. The world is a better place because of her presence. Her legacy will live on in those whose lives she touched and who are inspired to realize the goodness she saw in them. Susan is survived by her loving husband Steve Yarbrough, her son Jeremy Young and wife Karrin, her daughter Tricia Duncan and husband Wesley, grandsons Justin, Cory and Cody Young and Eli Duncan and granddaughter Savannah Duncan, mother Pat Caufield, brother Les Orr and wife Cheyenne, sister Patty Hagle and husband Carol, special cousins Pam Anton and Shelia Skinner and a very special friend Ramona Murphy. Susan is preceded in death by her father Lawrence Orr, son Chad Young, grandmother Ruby Tuttle, and a very special sister in law Sherry Orr. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to your favorite charity would be appreciated. A Celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the North Dallas Funeral Home Chapel 2710 Valley View Lane, Dallas, Texas 75254. Arrangements are under the direction of ARIA Cremation Service and Funeral Home 19310 Preston Road, Dallas, Texas 75252, 214-306-6700.
