George Edward York, 74, of Richardson, Texas, passed away on January 6, 2014, after a long battle following bypass surgery. He is survived by his wife, Tri York, children, Charles, James, Tin and Rosalie, sisters, Gloria Gentry and Suzanne York Blakeley, and nieces, Jahan L. Gentry-Thrower and Nicole Blakeley. George was preceded in death by Boris, his granddog (d. 12/24/2013) and is survived by his granddogs, Wednesday, Mr. Murphy, Lily and Brownie. He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Navy in which he served for more than 20 years.
