Surman Glasco Young, 90, passed away October 27, 2013. Interment will be at the DFW National Cemetery November 18 at 10 am. Born in Post, Texas, he was the son of Jurd and Artie Young. He was a US Navy veteran and married Bonnie Eubanks in Lueders, Texas. He was a civil engineer and retired from Bell Helicopter in 1986. He enjoyed traveling and woodworking. After Bonnie died, he was a regular at senior citizens dances in the Mid-Cities with his best friend, Prilla Franks. He was a humble man that loved life. He was also preceded in death by his son Kevin and brother William. Survivors include: Sons, Brent Young (Jackie) of Anna, Richard Young of Houston; daughters, Paula Wood (Rex) of Grapevine, Stephanie Sullivan (Daniel) of Burleson; brother, Shirley Young of Bastrop; six grandchildren , and six great-grandchildren.
