Obituary

Zachary Russell Peters, 31, passed into eternal peace on October 29, 2024.

Zachary was born March 2, 1993, to Timothy and Christy Peters, in Plano, Texas. Zach entered the world full of energy and a zest for living life to the fullest, matched by none. Along with his warm-hearted intelligence and loyalty, these traits helped him grow into a wonderful son, brother and friend.

Zach graduated from Prestonwood Christian Academy, which he led to two basketball state championships. After graduation, Zach played basketball at Kansas and Arizona, before being sidelined by injuries. He graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2017.

Zach's intelligence and work ethic helped him succeed in the data industry, working with clients such as successful gubernatorial and presidential campaigns. He became a wonderful cook, bringing everyone together with spectacular meals. Zach's love of dogs was obvious, and frankly, sometimes ridiculous.

Since childhood, Zach loved real estate and architecture. In 2023 he began developing land and homes in the Cabo San Lucas area of Mexico, where the work he began will be enjoyed for generations to come.

Zach is survived by his parents, Tim and Christy Peters, his brothers, Evan and Garrett Peters (Holly), his nephew, Russell, grandmother, Mary Weber, his significant other, Caroline Griffith, and multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Zach was preceded in death by grandparents, Russell and Delores Zimmermann, William and Florence Peters, his uncle, Lloyd Wood, and his cousin, Joshua Wood.

Zach touched many people in his life, and his passing, at such an early age, will leave a hole in our hearts and our family, but his kindness and generosity will always be remembered.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Koolen-de Vries Syndrome Foundation in honor of Zach's nephew, Russell Peters.
