Fraser, Kenneth K.
Obituary
Kenneth Fraser (Ken), age 78, passed away in his home in Plano, Texas on May 31, 2016, after a long hard fought battle with cancer. Ken is preceded in death by his parents, John Opal and Ozella Davis Fraser, his brother, Ray Fraser, sister-in-law, Billie Ray Fraser and his sister, Joan McClure of Rusk, Texas. He is survived by his wife Maurice of Plano, Texas; son, Randall Fraser and Family from Rusk, Texas; daughter, Tiffany Fraser of Frisco, Texas; son, Kendall Fraser and grandsons, Kameron, and Keaton Fraser of McKinney, Texas. Ken graduated from Abilene High School in 1955 and attended all of his class reunions for the past 60 years and kept in touch with classmates. He and his brother grew up working with their dad and uncles learning all aspects of construction. After high school, he attended college in Denton, Texas and joined the Army in 1957. Following the Army, Ken worked in construction, mainly concrete. He did everything from building dormitories at Texas Tech University to building high rises in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the seventies, Ken moved his family to Texas and settled in Frisco. This is where he started his own business, Fraser Construction. His specialty became building pool decks. He was well known in the Dallas area for his design and quality of work. He held that reputation for approximately 25 years until he retired in the mid-nineties. Ken loved his family and put them above all. He enjoyed basketball and especially enjoyed watching his grandsons play sports. After retirement, Ken enjoyed playing golf with his wife and friends. He became Marshall for the Plantation Golf Course in Frisco, where he enjoyed many hours of golf. He was active, always building things for their home; spas, sidewalks, decks, etc. He also enjoyed playing dominoes, dancing, crossword puzzles, and traveling with his wife. Ken will be missed by all who loved him and forever in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Lung Association or to a charity of one’s choice.

We had just moved to Spur Ranch and Ken was one of the first people that we met. We had some good discussions about his backyard designs and we will miss those times. He was such an interesting person. We wish we had had time to get to know him better and maybe play a round of golf.
