Johnson Sr., Jackie "Jack"
Obituary
Jack Johnson, of Lewisville, TX and formerly of Jet, OK, passed away on June 13, 2016. He was born in, Alva, OK on April 12, 1937 to parents Clarence and Theresa Johnson. He is survived by his three children, sons Jack and Craig, and daughter Wendy, his brothers Don, Larry and Lanny, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was met in heaven by his loving parents and brother, Gene. Jack proudly and honorably served in the U.S. Air Force from 1957 to 1963. Although he maintained residence in various states including Montana, Kansas and New Jersey, the majority of his life was spent at the Great Salt Plains Lake where he built, owned and operated Jacks General Store and Bait/Tackle Shop. Well respected amongst fishing enthusiasts near and far for his signature jigs and lures, you could always count on his expert advice including where the best Saugeye were to be caught. Jack was a craftsman and took that approach in every aspect of life. His favorite saying was, “If you are going to do something, do it right, or don’t it at all.” He had an innate respect for guns and was an expert marksman. He had a deep love for his children and grandchildren and a profound love for his cherished dog, Brutus. A memorial service will be held at the Great Salt Plains Lake Saturday, June 25th. Arrangements are under the direction of: ARIA Cremation Service & Funeral Home 19310 Preston Road, Dallas, Texas 75252 214-306-6700
