Obituary
Richard J. Lowther, age 52, died June 15, 2016 at his home in Plano, TX. He was born in St Louis, MO and grew up in the Houston, TX area. Rick graduated from Spring High School and attended Harris County College. He moved to the Plano area and began his businesses under the name of Image Cleaners, winning many consumer awards for excellence for his products and services. Rick had many interests and was an avid reader continuing to improve himself and learn about his hobbies. He had many interests, boating, classic cars, traveling, classic rock n’ roll, sports of any and all kinds, safe or daring, running in the Warrior Dash and his friends. He had a big heart and was very active with a number of charities and donated clothes and shoes to the poor and worked at shelters and served dinners to the homeless at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Preceded in death by his dear grandmothers Estelle Menzel and Louise Wyatt, grandfathers Richard O. Lowther Sr. and Clifford Wyatt. He is survived by his mother Barbara Sharp, father Richard O. Lowther, Jr., sister Kimberly Monaghan, niece Taylor Tunning, uncle, Don M. Wyatt (Darlene), many cousins, his special love Bryndis, his employees and many great friends. He is at peace now, no more fires to fight or battles to win. Bless you and thank you Rick for all the lives your kindness and generosity touched, you will be missed by all so very much. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 1201 Alma Dr., Plano, TX 75075. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in the memory of Rick to the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Greater Dallas.
