Obituary
Ronald Wayne Bedwell, 53, of Plano, TX, formerly of Washington, IL passed away peacefully at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2016, at his residence. He was born on November 22, 1962, in Decatur, IL and preceded in death by his parents, Ronald Walter and Norma Jean (Acklin) Bedwell. Surviving are two sisters, Terri Friday, of Plano, TX and Jeanne (Brent) Reddish of Washington, IL. Further surviving are four nieces, Randi (Patrick) Vaughan, Jolene Aldus, Colleen (Eric) Maurer, Allison Friday, and one nephew, Kyle Reddish, along with three great nieces and three great nephews. Ron graduated from Belleville Area College Police Academy in 1985 and served in several Police Departments throughout the State of Illinois. Ron also held many positions in Security during his career. He loved his German Shepard dogs, Coco and Ranger and spending time with family. Cremation rights have been accorded with interment planned together with his mother who passed on March 22 of this year. A private family ceremony will held at a future date near the family’s home in Southern IL. There will be no visitation. The family would sincerely appreciate any memorial tributes to be made to UT Southwestern Medical Center Cancer Research in Dallas, TX.
