Richard Allen Mohler 1968 ~ 2016
Richard Allen Mohler of McKinney, Texas passed away unexpectedly from heart failure, at home, on Saturday, July 23rd 2016 at the age of only 47 years. Rick was the first born child to William Thomas Mohler and Bonnie Marie Cirillo Mohler; born November 29, 1968 in Los Angeles, California. He grew up with his family in Des Moines, Iowa before leaving to serve his country as an Aircrewman in the United States Navy during the Gulf War. His time and dedication in the service earned him the National Defense Service Medal and the Navy Good Conduct Medal. After Rick was honorably discharged in 1992, he began his work toward an Associate of Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology. He was recruited by Texas Instruments and moved to Lubbock, TX, where he met his wife, Debra. He eventually settled in McKinney and worked as a Thin Film Equipment Engineering Technician for Texas Instruments, RFAB in Richardson, TX. (He loved those robots, except when they broke!) During this time, Rick proudly earned his Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix. Rick had a love for computer technology, movies- especially James Bond, binge watching shows, NASCAR, Dallas Cowboys, the Dodgers, the Lakers, the Iowa Cyclones, and the Texas Longhorns, heavy metal music, shooting, the beach, and, above all else, his family and friends. Rick will be remembered for his optimism, his generosity, his happy-go-lucky attitude, and his 110% dedication to everything he did. He was a hard working man, bold and confident, always thinking of others, and someone who loved to make others happy. He was a loving husband, a great father and grandfather, a wonderful son , big brother, and uncle, and a true friend. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.Richard Allen Mohler is survived by his wife of 21 years, Debra Ann Silvas, parents, Bill and Bonnie Mohler, children; Richard Aaron Mohler, Joshua Leigh Silvas, Andrea Celeste Silvas, and Damian Allias Silvas, grandson, Elijah Geovanne Ruiz, grandfather, Howard Mohler, siblings; Sherry Carrington (Chad), Sarah Boten (Chris), Michael Mohler (Michele), in-laws, Daniel and Hope Gonzales, his (Yorkie) boy- Spencer, and 11 nieces and nephews, as well as extended loving family and friends.

Mohler, Boten and Carrington family: My thoughts and prayers to God are with you and for you during this season of pain, loss, heartache and questioning. I wish I had known Rick. He was clearly a wonderful man, husband and father. May Christ Jesus be your peace and comfort during this time (2 Cor. 1:3-7).
I worked with Rick at RFAB and am truly sorry to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. I will miss talking football with him.
I am deeply saddened to hear that Rick passed away. I flew with him in the Navy. Shoot I trained him the Reel Operator field. He was outstanding aircrewman, friend and technician. He will me missed. May god comfort your grieving process. He is in peace.
