From there she went to Garland, TX, and Fort Worth, TX, as their City Secretaries as well. Alice was very active in her profession, serving as president of the Texas Municipal Clerks Association and doing professional development for clerks throughout Texas. She was also a faithful member, volunteer, and deacon at Broadway Baptist Church, where she had many wonderful friends. On behalf of The Woman’s Club of Missouri City, we send our deepest sympathy to the family of one of our honorary members, Alice Church. I had the privilege of meeting Alice at a neighbor and mutual friend’s home on one of her many visits to Missouri City. She was indeed a lovely and entertaining woman. Our organization as well as the City of Missouri City were blessed to have been touched by her. May her soul rest in peace and her family find comfort in their faith and know they will be reunited again some day
Alice was such a unique person. It was fun to be with her; she could always find the humor is even the most awkward situations. Thank you for letting me share part of her journey; she enriched me life. -kay
