Obituary
Patty Wright Wibker Sears was born in Galveston, Texas on Feb. 12, 1926 to William Daniel Wibker and Lillian Miller. She passed away Sept. 26, 2016, many of her family members got to tell her good bye. She lived in Galveston with her parents and her sister, Lillian “Inky” Hall until she left for college at the University of Texas. There she met and married Roland Charles Wibker. Upon Roland’s graduation in Engineering he accepted a job at Chance Vought/ LTV. They settled in Arlington. They adopted their son William Daniel “Danny” in 1959 from Hope Cottage in Dallas. Three years later , they adopted a daughter Elizabeth Ann “Beth” in 1962. Roland Wibker died of a heart attack in 1964. Patty went to work at Chance Vought/LTV as an executive secretary until 1972. That year she married Dale Sears. She joined him at Dales of Arlington, a ladies fine apparel store. If anyone needed a formal dress or high end apparel they shopped at that store. Together they had a successful business until Dale Sears retirement in 1984. Patty returned to Chance Vought/LTV until her retirement in 1994. Patty always had a keen since of humor, always the life of the party. She planned many summer vacations in Galveston for the whole family. She was a long time member of First United Methodist Church in Arlington. A service in her memory will be held at a later date. Patty was preceded in death by her first husband Roland Wibker, her son Danny Wibker. Survivors: Husband Dale Sears, daughter Beth Roberts, daughter Anita Silvan, her husband Joe Silvan from Sacramento, Ca. Grandson Chris Arnold from San Fransico, grandson Scott Arnold from Houston. Great grandchildren Mason, Hayden and Lexi Arnold. Daughter in law Lea Wibker, grandson Brian Wibker and his wife Meredith from Arlington. Granddaughter Kristen Van Buskirk and her husband Anthony from Ft. Worth. Her sister Lillian Hall from Kentucky, niece Leigh Mosley and her family from Tennessee. Niece Rona Neace and her family from Kentucky.
