I am soo very sorry for the loss of your loved one. You truly do not know how much he meant to me, and how empty I feel at his loss. May God continue to bless your family, and give you comfort-Sharon
Tio, I know that you’re in a better place. All the memories we had will be in a special place in my heart. Love, Cindy.
Carlos, thank you for your friendship & for being there when it counted. Your now free of pain & have a large canvas in the sky to paint on! Fly high Marine, thank your for your service, you’ll always be remembered….. Rest In Peace
I knew Carlos at Irving Jr. School. Were were in the same home room with Miss Ressmann. He was smart, kind, funny and very talented. His artistic skills at his young age were astounding. He served his country and will always be remembered by those who knew him as a good man with much talent.
Carlos,
Your art teacher friends are just now finding out about this. We are so saddened to hear this news. I am letting as many people know as I can. You were a wonderful teacher and a great friend. To Carlos’ family please know you guys will be in our thoughts. HUGS to all.
I was so terribly sorry to hear this news. Carlos was one of my favorite people among our art friends. He was a good teacher, a kind and thoughtful man, and a true artist. I always loved when he would come back from Mexico with more photographs of the beautiful, artistic doors in San Miguel. Rest well my friend.
Carlos will always be respectfully remembered as a friend and colleague from María Moreno Elementary School. He was a truly good man who is sorely missed. Our condolences to the family.
Cheryl and Alicia
It was an honor to have him join the staff at Maria Moreno Elementary where he made a difference in the lives of so many children and families. His kind and joyful spirit was an inspiration to us all.
You will be forever remembered.

I was always inspired by the beautiful photography and art that Carlos shared. I know many of the DISD art teachers that will be saddened by his loss. My blessings go out to his family. Carlos was such a kind person with a beautiful talent for teaching and sharing his art.
Met Carlos at Raul Quintanilla MS. Said to me “enjoy life, good & bad. Its only one we have.” Years later i discovered Carlos served as a Marine at the battle of Khe Sanh during Viet Nam conflict. Fuimos y todavia somos compadres. He was, still is mi compadre en armas. Adopted my phrase “time to teach our little brown brothers & sisters.” Every time bell rang. His response. “Chilo.. Nos vemos en un ratito.” Carlos Vargas Jr. An all American Hero.” Con mucho sinceridad carnal. Love u ese. See u in a bit.
