Obituary

Charles Lee Jordan Jr., 48, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016. Lee was born in Odessa, Texas to Charles Lee Jordan Sr. and Gettone Moore Jordan on April 04, 1968. He graduated from Odessa High School and attended Odessa College. Lee was a gifted drummer and talented musician who created music with several bands.  Later, he worked for nearly 10 years as a cylinder technician and machinist at Brake Supply in the DFW metroplex. Lee was an avid reader, consuming several books each week; he was intelligent and well-versed, with a quick wit second to none.   He was kind, caring and deeply loyal. A proud firearms collector, Lee appreciated time spent in fellowship with his friends and family.  Lee’s opponents in pool, poker and most every other game almost always found they fell quickly in loss, having underestimated the good-natured giant; their defeat met with his sly grin. Charles Lee Jordan Jr. is preceded in death by his parents, his uncle Donald Moore, aunt Sandra Moore, and uncle Jack Black . He is survived by his sister Becky Rey, brother-in-law Louie Rey, nieces Chloe, Zoe and Ruby, his aunts and uncles Phillip and Theresa Day, Gail Day, Jeannie Black and Leonard and Lela Moore, his dearest friends Carlton and Julie Chapman, and his beloved cat Little Boy.   A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the North Dallas Memorial Chapel, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.   Arrangements are under the direction of: ARIA Cremation Service & Funeral Home 19310 Preston Road, Dallas, Texas 75252 214-306-6700

So sorry to hear this! I knew him mostly when we were kids. Hoping he has a big family reunion with those who have gone on before us. Rest in peace.

Lee was very special. I knew him shortly but loved him truly. There will never be another man like him. He was smart…sweet…and forever loyal. I know I will see him again in heaven. He’s no longer suffering.

Lee was our brother…no other description fits. Playing in Blue Zone & Cheshire Cat with him was the time of our lives & a gift beyond compare. I had been talking with him everyday for hours at a time until mere days before he passed. He, Dave & I were dreaming of playing together again when he got well. We loved each other very much. He told me that he missed me, Dave, Dillon & Daniel very much. He taught Daniel how to play the drums with such patience & glee. He got to see Daniel play live in San Antonio a few years ago & was overcome with emotion when Daniel told the audience that his idol was in the audience…his “Uncle Bud”. They loved him very much & are devastated…as are we. He told me that I was his best friend & that he was thankful for me….I was thankful for him! I will miss him so badly that it is a physical pain. No one on this earth will ever compare. Love you Bubba……hold our place in Heaven. Can’t wait to play with you again when we get there!! Becky, he sure loved you & those little baby girls. Please call Dave & I ….our number is on his phone….God Bless you & your family.
    Love,
    Danielle & David Hogan

Lee was a very close friend and a big brother to me. I started playing in bands with him when I was fresh out of high school and he always watched out for me and took care of me, showed me the “ropes” on the road. Lee was one of the kindest people I’ve ever met, and I am definitely a better person for having known and spent time with him. I love you Lee

"Nothing prepares you for the grief you go through when losing a child. I called this funeral home at 2:00 am broken and could barely talk. The amount of compassion and empathy they showed me immediately let me know I found the right place to cremate my son. I cannot thank them enough for their professionalism, SINCERE concern, and commitment to making sure my son was honored in the most respectful way. I hope this Funeral home values her as much as my family and I do."

"I can’t say enough about how helpful and professional Dusty Martin, the funeral director at the Aria Cremation location on NW Highway has been. From my initial call, he was kind and informative. My friend died at home while on hospice and she was picked up in about an hour after receiving the call from the hospice nurse. The person who arrived to pick her up was also very professional/respectful and allowed us to take as much time with her as we wished. When I met with Dusty the next day about arrangements, he explained the process and options available without being pushy or trying to “sell” extras. Throughout the process, he kept me informed and, for example, was careful to be certain I understood the cost of the obituary I wanted and offered some options for reducing that cost if I wished. When I stopped by for another reason and started talking about some of the problems I was having with the pictures and media I hoped to use at a memorial lunch I was planning, he not only listened patiently but offered technology advice and let me use his personal media player. I have had experience arranging cremations for four others using two other local companies, and this experience with Dusty at Aria has been by far the best one I have had."

"My Daddy’s service and our family experience at Aria Northwest Highway was truly blessed. Funeral Director Dustin Martin is the kind of person that you would like to see on a more regular basis – but in his industry – you hope to not see him that often. That being said – THANK YOU DUSTIN for your unending kindness, compassion and friendship through the process. Meeting you and discussing Dallas History, Find A Grave and my Dad’s lifelong contributions to the great City of Dallas was simply wonderful! In memory of my dad James A. Dodd, Sr. – I want to personally thank you and let you know that you made everything better in that moment. Your calling to “Be There” is spot on. Aria has a one in a million guy in you! Bling Blinky of TEXAS Shout Out: God Bless You!!"
