Harris, MaryJo
Obituary
What a beautiful wife, mother, woman! Mary Jo was an inquisitive, talkative, individualist who had a passion for sewing colorful, cool things … anyone who knew “Jo Jo” has one of her bears or Kleenex holders! She loved “gallivanting around” and you never had to ask her twice to do so! Mary Jo was born to W.C. and Lila Crockett Fowler on October 9, 1927. A life long resident of Oak Cliff and proud graduate of Sunset High School, she married her high school sweetheart, A.E. Harris, Jr. and they were married 50 years to the day as Big Daddy lovingly held on until their Golden Anniversary. They owned Sunset Florist for years, during which the many who worked with them became family. She was predeceased by her parents, brother Tom Fowler, husband A.E. and daughter Karen Caton. She is survived by son Bert and wife Tracey, son-in-law Tom Caton, grandchildren; Zac Adams, wife Nicole (great-grand children Nicholas & Alexandria), Elise Arnold, husband Josh, Emily Caton (great-grand children Ty & Scout) and nephew Chip Fowler. Mama passed away November 3, 2016. So, raise a glass of chocolate milk and toast to MJH! We’ll love, laugh and celebrate her life in the near future! Please send the family condolences and sign the guest book on this site. Arrangements are under the direction of: Aria Cremation Service & Funeral Home 1820 N.
