American actress Florence Agnes Henderson passed away on November 24, 2016 at the age of 82 surrounded by family and friends. Born to the late Elizabeth and Joseph Henderson on February 14, 1934, Florence was the youngest of ten children. Her acting career was encouraged at a young age by her mother who taught her to sing and later through her formal education at St. Francis Academy in Kentucky and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. While Florence’s debut was in Broadway musicals, she is best known for her role as Carol Brady on the family sitcom The Brady Bunch which filmed from 1969 to 1974. She appeared in other films and shows over her six decade career. Henderson appeared on Dancing with the Stars in 2010 as well as hosting her own cooking show, Who’s Cooking with Florence Henderson, and talk show, The Florence Henderson Show.
