Goad, Margaret Marie Brown

January 18, 1928 - November 21, 2016

Margaret Marie (Brown) Goad was born on January 18, 1928 in Hamburg, Iowa to Robert Tracy and Maggie Jane (Smith) Brown.  She passed away peacefully on November 21, 2016 at her home in Irving, Texas.

She graduated from Hamburg High School in 1946.   She operated her own beauty salon for many years in Irving, Texas.  Later she assisted her husband in the day to day operations of his solo law practice from 1967 to 1992.

Margaret was a kind and gentle soul.  The fierce love she had for her family remains present.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Goad and 10 brothers and sisters: Roy, Leland, Vernon, Robert, Francis, Carl, Sally, Melvina, Virginia and Betty.

She is survived by her daughter Stacye Harness and son in law, JD Harness along with her 5 grandchildren: Noah, Joshua, Ethan, Christian and Hannah Harness; many nieces and nephews and friends.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Margaret will be buried at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.  Any desired memorials made be made to Catholic Charities of Dallas.

We will miss your wisdom and laughter.
