Gerry Lynn Norman, age 58, died unexpectedly on November 22, 2016, Dallas, Gerry Lynn Norman is survived by his mother Jerlene Dupree, Step father Richard Dupree of Tyler, TX; his Sister Elizabeth Scott of Colorado; and his Daughters, Christal Hanks, Christina Norman, His sons James Norman and Curtis Norman and his grandchildren, Samantha, Brittnee, Macy, Trent, Maria, Alexis, Christian, Alyssa, Courtney, Britney, and Kandyce as well as a great grandson Hudson. He is preceded in death by his father James Curtis (Buddy) Norman, His brother Curtis Norman, Sister Roxanne Norman, and his grandparents. Gerry Lynn Norman was born on May 15, 1958 in Dallas, TX, to parents Jerlene (Jerri) Norman and James Curtis (Buddy) Norman. He was a well accomplished master mechanic and loved working. Gerry Lynn Norman was a great man who loved his family and absolutely loved spending the holidays with them, especially Christmas. Gerry Lynn Norman was a social, active man who was deeply involved in mechanics for the majority of his life. He enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, NASCAR, going golfing, and playing video games. His family and friends will always remember him as a highly intellectual man with an amazingly funny personality. A viewing and funeral is scheduled for December 3, 2016 between 10:00 a.m. and 1:30p.m., at North Dallas Funeral Home at 2710 Vally View Lane, Dallas, TX 75234. Thereafter procession to follow to Valwood Park Baptist Church at 2727 Valwood Parkway, Dallas, TX 75234 for memorial service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Gerry Lynn Norman’s life. The family would like to thank family and friends for joining us to lay our father to rest. Reception to follow at his son James Norman’s home in Rowlett, TX.
