My heart is sadden with this news. Sandy was the sweetest guy in High School. He had every girl’s heart when he played King Arthur in Camelot for the schools musical. I know that Chris will be waiting at Heaven’s gates for him. Prayers for comfort and strength.
Sandy was an old friend and I have many wonderful memories of him. His passing is quite a shock and I can only offer my sympathy.
So sorry for your loss Stephanie and Alex. I pray that God brings you peace during this time.
My husband and I went to school with your mom and dad at Sunset. Your dad was always such a nice friend to all he knew. May your sweet memories of him live in your hearts forever! May he Rest In Peace. God be with you and your family.
Eternal rest grant unto Sandy Oh Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon him and may he rest in peace. Those of us in Georgia who love you and loved him are so sorry for your loss.
I am so sorry to hear of Sandy’s passing. To me he will always be King Arthur of Camelot whom he played in our high school musical!! He WAS phenomenal in the role!! He will be missed. 🙁
So very sad to hear about Sandy. I will always remember his awesome portrayal as King Arthur in our Senior year musical at Sunset High School, “Camelot”. So glad to have. Even able to see him at our 45th class reunion. Rest In Peace . Prayers for the family.
So sad to hear of Sandy’s passing. Will always remember is sweet smile and loving ways. Many happy memories remain with us. May The Angels surround the family with peace and love.
Thank you for your friendship always loved seeing that smiling face.
Gone way too soon my friend.
I just saw you a year ago at the Reunion. I remember you so well from high school. Such a sweet man. I’m so sorry as you were so loved by everyone. Love to you always.
Sandy and Chris were so kind. Sandy helped my then husband and I move from our apartment in Plano to our first house in Plano. I always remember Sandy as generous, helpful, and so kind-hearted. He will be missed, but the world is a better place for his presence.
I will always remember the times from high school, especially “Camelot”. And times spent staying out until the we hours discussing the past, present and future. I always enjoyed playing golf with our reunion foursome every five years. I’ll miss you my friend. May you Rest In Peace!
John and I have been neighbors to Sandy for many years. We have shared many times at football games where our daughter cheered with his beautiful girls. He and Chris were always there to support their girls. Sandy will be missed.
We are so sorry to hear of his passing. Our prayers for the family, especially Stephanie and Alex, at this difficult time.
Sat next to Sandy in choir our junior year at Sunset. Always kept me laughing! Will always remember his incredible performance as King Arthur in Camelot. Last saw him at the 2005 reunion. He still had that infectious smile. “Good night, sweet prince.”
I am sad to see this. Sandy you were a great friend to have. Our friendship started at Henderson, then Greiner then last school was SUNSET. After all those years we went our separate ways. All of those years going to school, you were loved by everyone. I remember the sandlot football games at the side Henderson. Your team always won. Now that your are gone you have left broken hearts with everyone that knew you. I have mentally been talking to my past and departed aircraft mechanic friends. They tell me you have a pair of modified Gold Angel Wings ready for you. Fly high and Fly fast. So long my old friend.
My heart is breaking over this. Alex has been my best friend since high school. Sandy and Chris, y’all were there to help me break into my cheerleading career, which changed my life forever. Y’all were always so positive and supporting. Your daughters are both so beautiful and are amazing moms. Those two now will carry your heart of Gold on forever. Peace to you.
Sandy always had a welcoming smile and heartwarming conversation. He was a good friend to my husband Jeff for many years. My loving and healing prayers to his family.
Great smile and a heart of gold. We will miss you.
Sandy you were definitely a man of honor and a friend. You always had a way of making people laugh and smile…May you “Rest in Peace” my Friend…
Condolences to the family may God give them the strength and the power
I have know Sandy for years as he was a close friend to my brother Robert Ware. Every time I saw him he always had a hug and sugars for me. when he would see Robert or talk to him and I wasn’t around he would always tell Robert to give me a hug and sugars for him I will miss him and his hugs and sugars. He was a good and kind friend. Rest in Peace my friend.
Sanders was like a second father to me and he will truly be missed. We both shared many laughs and good memories together and you don’t find many real kind loving people like him. My prayers go out to Stephanie and Alex.
We first met Sandy & his family in the late 1950’s when we were neighbors on Wyneewood Drive. Sandy was always so friendly & nice and when we moved to Kessler Pkwy, we did not know we would reconnect in Jr High & High School. Will never forget his athletic and singing ability as King Arthur in Camelot at Sunset. Then he dated & married my classmate, Chris Christie, which was a match made from heaven. So sorry to hear of his passing and will be praying for his daughters & their families and his siblings and their families who are still alive. May he Rest In Peace.
I saw the picture and recognized his smile. Sandy was one of the sweetest guys at Sunset. What wonderful and funny memories I have of Sandy. Rest in peace sweet Prince.
My heart is sad. I have known Sandy since sixth grade at Margaret B. Henderson. He was such a sweet person. I always enjoyed seeing and talking to him at Sunset reunions. I still maintain he was the BEST King Arthur ever!OCUYUCAN
Rest in Peace.
I’ll always remember the times we just sat and talked about all the fun memories. I’ll miss him that’s for sure. He loved everyone , and always wanted to know how everyone was doing. Stephanie and Alex you and are families are in our prayers.
Will always think of Sandy as one who loved to sing! And as others have said his role as King Arthur in Camelot at Sunset. Nothing like being in a hospital waiting room to hear a males voice behind you and realize its Sandy’s!. I can not think of Sandy without seeing a smile on his face and Chris walking with him at one of our reunions. Love you guys!
Once in a while you find someone in life that is pure kindness. I was a Nobody but he treated me with as much happiness as he did a Somebody. That’s how he was – just a kind man. Rest in Peace Sandy.
Words cannot express the emotions I feel for Alexandra and Stephanie, Sandy was one of a kind! He was funny and generous. I will cherish the bird book he gave me from his own collection!! Rest in peace Sand man and so glad you are reunited with your love Chris now…
He was my first football game, and Kips date at Greiner. Set the bar pretty high for fun and smiles. He will be missed.
