Goodnough, William Charles “Bill” Born July 25, 1941 in Delhi, New York – Died January 2, 2017 Plano, Texas Bill was a loving, caring, faithful and loyal father, friend and neighbor. Bill graduated from Ricker College in January 1965 with a Political Science degree. On April 14, 1966 Bill started his career at Geico insurance in Washington D.C.. Geico then took him to Macon, Georgia in the early 1970’s where he remained until the opening of Geico’s Region V located in Dallas, Texas in 1987. After a successful career in insurance underwriting, Bill retired in 1997 and enjoyed the rest of his days while residing in Carrollton, Texas. Bill was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams included the Georgia Bulldogs, New York Giants and the Atlanta Braves. He was preceded in death by his Father, Raymond Charles Goodnough and Mother, Grace Shields Goodnough and half brother, Scott Goodnough He is survived by son, William Patrick Goodnough, his wife Lisa and their 2 daughters Katelyn and Nicole; Daughter, Kellie Lynnette Nix, husband Jeff and their daughter Summer; Sister Sheila Fierro; and Special friend, Natalie Bridges. The service will be 9:00 A.M., Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Aria Memorial Chapel located at 19310 Preston Road, Dallas, TX 75252. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Lung Association. You have touched so many hearts and lives with your gentle and fun nature. We love and miss you dearly but know that we will meet again in Heaven! We shared many, many great years together that I will cherish forever. He will always have a special place in my heart. He is finally at peace. I will always love you.
I worked with Bill many years ago in Macon. He was a good mentor and taught me a lot. He will be missed.
