Jones, Richard Earl

November 2, 1954 - January 3, 2017

Richard Jones of Plano, Texas was born on the Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas on November 2, 1954.   He passed away on January 3, 2017 with his family by his side.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Jones, his children, Jessica McElwee, Katie Shuford and Cody Ward, his sister Daphne Black, grandchildren Cheyenne, Raven, Caleb and Willow Jones as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Jones, mother Rita Morphis, sister Linda Reed and brother Howard Jones, Jr.

Richard was a 3rd generation plumber who loved to play guitar, sing, scuba dive and entertain friends and family.  He was full of life and made others smile everywhere he went.

Richard was a cancer survivor since 2005 and was involved with The American Cancer Society. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name at the following link:
