Obituary
Dennis Lynn Ehlers, 75, son of Clifford B. and Josephine E. Ehlers of Worthington, Minnesota, passed away March 1, 2017, at his home in Euless, Texas. He was surrounded by his family and friends. He was born November 13, 1941, in Fairmont, Minnesota and grew up in neighboring Worthington. He graduated from Worthington High School, Hamline University and William Mitchell College of Law, Saint Paul, Minnesota. Dennis was engaged in the banking industry, real estate construction and asset management liquidations during his 50 year career. He retired in 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Hart Ehlers of 52 years, their son, Michael (Jennifer) Ehlers, of Cincinnati, Ohio and their children, Tad and Katherine, and their daughter Kristen Patton and her son Michael Patton, of Euless, Texas. He is survived as well by his brother Fred (Grace) Ehlers, their children and grandchildren, of Minnesota, and his sister Karen Funk, her children and grandchildren, also of Minnesota, sister-in-law, Cathy Hart Price (Joe) of West Virginia and their son and grandchildren, of Tennessee, Donald R. Hart Jr. (Sue Goff) of South Carolina. A special thank you to the staff of Compassus Hospice of Fort Worth, Texas, for their amazing compassion and care. The family plans a small informal memorial gathering, at their home, on Sunday March 26, 2017, between 2:00 and 4:00. Family and friends are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that, if you wish, give to the charity of your choice. Please send the family condolences and sign the guest book on this site.
