Berry, Chuck A.
Whether you heard his tracks that helped mold American Rock n’ Roll, or you first heard “Johnny B. Goode” when Michael J. Fox played it in 1985, almost everyone has been touched by the music of Chuck Berry at some point.
Born in 1926 in St. Louis, Charles Anderson Berry has had a life and career just as varied as his music. From convict, to factory worker and janitor, to cosmetologist, and eventually a musician. His roots in the south where he would have to perform both country music and R&B led to his signature style which would become the roots for modern Rock n’ Roll.
He passed away from natural causes in his home on March 18th, 2017.
