Obituary
Robert Henry “Bob” Gonzales, 76, of Irving, Texas passed away on March 29, 2017. He was born to Primetivo Gonzales and Dominga Constancio on February 2, 1941 in Dallas, Texas. Growing up in Little Mexico he met and married the love of his life, Lydia Gonzalez, on February 10, 1963 and they had 2 daughters. Bob retired from Tom Thumb as market manager after having worked there for over 30 years which gave him more time to play golf, a sport he enjoyed playing and watching. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Dominga & Primetivo Gonzales; and brother, Edward. He is survived by his wife, Lydia Gonzales; daughters, Dominique Gonzales-Taylor, Russell; and Monica-Yvette Disbrow, Russell; grandchildren, Jude and Sidney McKee; Gary McKee, father of Bob’s grandchildren; siblings, Tony, Ernest, Gilbert, Alfred, Michael, Alice, Linda, Sylvia, Gloria, Olga and Sandra; and numerous nieces, nephews and many other family members. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm at the Aria Irving Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 11:00 am at Holy Family of Nazareth, 2323 Cheyenne Street, Irving, Texas 75062. Pallbearers will be Gary McKee, Russell Taylor, Manuel Rodriguez, Jr. and Michael Rodriguez. Bob loved his family and his faith. Dear Lydia, Dominique and Yvette, I was so shocked to hear about Bobby’s death, I’m so sorry for what you’re going through right now but have faith in God and he’ll get you through this. Bobby was always a great friend and compadre. He will be truly missed. Praying for you, take care.
