Obituary
Kenneth Randolph Peak died peacefully January 26th, 2017 in Plano, TX at the age of 82. Kenneth is survived by his wife Florinda Peak; children, Kenneth Randolph Peak II and his wife Kristi of Dallas, TX; Sandra Christina Peak and her husband Jay of Plano,TX; Christopher Wayne Peak and his partner Brian of Chicago, IL; He is also survived by grandchildren Sage Stamper and Clark Peak. He is preceded in death by many loving family members in Southern California. Kenneth Randolph Peak was born on April 12, 1934 in Louisville, KY to James Peak and Tina Graves. He was the youngest of six children. He joined the United States Navy in 1952 after graduating from Manual DuPont High School in 1951. He was awarded the National Service Medal and China Service Medal for serving in the Korean War. He graduated from The University of Louisville with a Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering in 1961 and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. Upon graduation he began working for Cummins Engine Company and remained with the company until he retired in 2006. He moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1964 and met Florinda De La Parra. The couple married on December 31st, 1965. The couple welcomed three children into their home over the next decade. His children remember him as a dedicated father who encouraged them to pursue their goals and interests. Kenneth was a witty individual who loved fishing, animals, gardening, musicals and in his lifetime travelled to over 65 countries.
