When I first met Harry a few years ago at the Summit, he ask my name and said, Al I have a joke for you. I will always remember that joke. From then on I always look forward to those early morning 5 a.m. meetings with Harry and the gang at the Summit. Harry always had a story and a joke to keep us laughing and starting the day with with a smile on our faces. The Ancient Egyptians believe they would be ask two questions when they left this world. One is did you have joy in this life? The other is did you bring joy onto others in this life? Harry did have joy in his life and did bring joy onto others during his time on this earth. Harry you will be miss but not forgotten. My prayers and thoughts are with the Diamond family at this time. Love you, Al Babina
I think that ” Harry the Elder ” was the guy that made the Summit Water Rats laugh the most! If you were lucky enough to stand outside at 5 am to wait for the 5:30 am doors to open you can be sure that you would get a double dose of the joke of the day & he would never tell it exactly the same way twice. I often joked that he & Betty could have used me as a flower girl at their wedding…close from Ohio to PA! Harry was a very good friend to so many of us. We knew his rye smile was a gift to make the day better. He LOVED his family & was so proud of each of their differences. My sympathy extend from his wonderful family to all of the Summit friends , his Good Day friends, & to his coffee buddy, Jim, who have a loss we will never be able to replace.watch over us, Harry…you know we needit!
