January 25, 1964 - May 8, 2017
James Michael Spielmaker, age 53, of The Colony, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 8, 2017. Born on January 25, 1964 in Grand Rapids Michigan.
Jim is survived by his Wife Sherrie Spielmaker, Step-Daughter Stephanie Carr, Step- Daughter Kelsey Curry and Step-son Lane Curry, Grandson Kyland, his sisters Sherry Spielmaker Klud, Patricia Perry, and all his many nieces and nephews.
Jim was referred to around The Colony as MacGyver, a walking encyclopedia; that person who could build a rocket ship from a paper clip and a toothpick. He was the go to person for many young men and women here in The Colony and surrounding areas for vehicle repairs, sound systems and general life advice. Many looked up to him like a father. He was a wealth of knowledge gone to soon. He lived life to the fullest and always with a smile. Jim had a huge heart who passionately loved his wife, Step Children, nieces, nephews, and so many more. Jim touched many lives and hearts and will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of his life is scheduled for 6:30 P.M., Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Lakeway Baptist Church located at 4000 N. Colony Blvd, The Colony, Texas 75056

Jim we miss you everyday. You were our best friend.
I just discovered this news tonight. I am so sad to read that Jim passed away. He was one of my favorite church members at LakeWay. God bless you Sherrie. You’re in my prayers tonight. PT
