Caperton, Deborah M.
Obituary
Deborah Mae Caperton, of Dallas, Texas, passed away June 28, 2017 at the age of 59 years. Deborah was born on September 14, 1957 to Joseph Caperton and Mary Ellen Johnston Caperton. She grew up in Dallas and graduated from WW Samuell High School before going on to Eastfield College. Deborah enjoyed traveling, fishing, concerts, casinos, movies and sports but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and socializing with friends. Loving sister, aunt, and friend; Deborah never met a stranger. If you were her friend, it was for life. She would always remember your birthday or important events and celebrate life with you. She was a caretaker; selflessly giving all she had for others. Deborah made no distinction between race, gender, or religion when it came to choosing her friends because, to her, we are all truly created equal. She was optimistic all her years; capable of looking past the lows in life to strive for a better tomorrow and encouraging others to do just the same. When Debbie heard some bad news she would simply say “that’s not my truth” and proceed to do whatever she could to turn the situation around. She was known for using the acronym “BDOML” which stood for “Best Day Of My Life” and was her response when asked how she was doing. She always kept a positive attitude. Deborah Mae Caperton is preceded in death by her mother and by her brother, Joseph E. Caperton. She is survived by her sister, Mary Kathleen Jobe and husband Wayne Jobe, of Streetman, Texas, niece, Kathey Cavin and husband DJ Cavin, of Wills Point, Texas, nephew Kevin Cox and wife Kelsey Cox, of Aubrey, Texas, great nieces & nephews; Karissa, Lex, Kase, Graham, and Hudson, as well as extended family and dear friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 PM on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at the Art-Centric Gallery in the Dallas Design District, 1609 E. Levee Street, Dallas, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Debbie’s name to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
You will always be in our hearts.

We will miss you so much, Aunt Debbie. You were always such a kind and hilarious person who touched everyone around her. You will be greatly missed and life will not be the same without you. You were taken from us way too early but I know you are in a better place watching over us.
You were the best big sister ever. I was so blessed and proud to call you my sister.Im going to miss you so much, love you Sweet Debbie
I remember meeting Debbie for the first time. It was Christmas in Phoenix somewhere between 1995 and 2000.
She was visiting mutual friends and we invited them over to our home. After introductions we all sat down and I handed out some presents. Debbie said ” presents! ya’ll are the best dang strangers I ever met!” Well needless to say we became fast friends and we have many great memories of her tie-dye loving free spirit. No one will ever be able to replace her!
I remember many times growing up with your sister Mary, and you were always
happy and smiling and fun to be around! You will be missed! God Bless your family!
MY PRAYERS ARE WITH THE FAMILY.
Debbie’s smile was contagious and her twinkling eyes lit up a room!! I know how much she adored her family!!
What a beautiful life Deborah has lived. Look to God for all of your help for he will carry you through the loss you’re feeling now. My prayers to you Mary, and the entire family.
Debbie lived more in her 59 years than most of us in a lifetime! She’s been family to me for 20 years, and I don’t know what I’ll do without her.
So very sorry for this loss in your family. Sister, aunt, family, and friend, these are many loving descriptions of a loved family member. She will be missed but find comfort in the fact that we will all meet again. Prayers of comfort for you all during this time.
I am so very sorry for your loss. Sending thoughts and prayers to you all.
You were differently a special person. I have seen you laugh, cry and laugh again. We might have lost touch over the long years, but my heart never forgot you. You were a great friend and you will be missed again my friend.
Dear Mary,
My heart aches for you. I wish to extend my deepest condolences to you and your family on the death of your sister Debbie. Although I know words offer small comfort in your hour of sorrow. There is no doubt that her passing will be a great loss to all who knew her. You know that she loved you all and that you all loved her. May that bring you some peace in this difficult time. With deepest sympathy, Jane
