Obituary

George “Eric” Ragle died unexpectedly in Dallas, TX on Wednesday, August 2nd, 2017 at the age of 51. Eric is survived by his wife, Jennifer Lambert Ragle, his children, Cassidy, Parker and Sheridan Ragle of Lewisville, TX; his mother, Nancy Ragle of Spring Branch, TX and brother, Lance Ragle of Houston, TX. He is preceded in death by his father, George Ragle. Eric Ragle was born on January 21, 1966 in Plainview, TX  to George and Nancy Ragle. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1988 with a degree in Industrial Distribution and married Jennifer Lambert, in 1989. Eric worked for a short time in Rockford, IL before moving to Dallas, TX and has worked for the past 10 years at LSG Sky Chefs.  During their 28 years of marriage, the couple welcomed three children into their home. His children remember him as a very devoted, kind and giving father who encouraged them to pursue their goals. He loved everything Aggie; Football; a good game of Ping Pong, playing cards with friends, embarrassing his children and telling bad dad jokes. He was a generous individual who loved his family and who was passionate about the Dallas Stars, Texas A&M and Dallas Cowboys football. He was an active and dedicated member of Bent Tree Bible Fellowship and served as a greeter for the past 15 years. A memorial is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 8th at Bent Tree Bible Fellowship in the Tree House. Pastor Jon Jobe will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Eric’s life. The family would like to thank the staff at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas for their care in his last days.

Was very saddened to hear about Eric passing. Our sons grew up together and we spent many hours watching Parker and Luke play basketball together. Two things Eric always had, something aggie on and a big smile. He will be missed by all who knew him.

When I think of Eric I think “what a good soul”. Always a smile on his face, very welcoming and yes always an “Aggie”! He will be missed by many. We are heartbroken about his passing but know he is with our Heavenly Father and we will, especially his family, one day again be reunited with him. Prayers to the family.

I am so shocked and sad to learn of this! My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Eric and I were roommates at Texas A&M both on campus at Aston Hall and at an apartment complex. I vivdly remember standing in that apartment with Eric watching the tv when the Space Shuttle Challenger blew up after take off. I feel that same sense of shock now.

I have so many good memories with him and our small group of friends. Road trips, here and there, including a memorable one to South Padre. Always good times, and he always had that smile on his face. What a great guy. He will be missed by so many.

Eric was the type who made every feel like his friend. I knew him in high school. I didn’t know he was at ATM University, the same time I was. But it fits: his goodness, his loyalty, his positive outlook on life. Godspeed Eric.

    Ragle family,

My name is Robert Diesel I’m a chef from Miami with LSG,

I’m sorry and sad to hear of Eric’s passing, I worked with Eric since he started with LSG Sky Chefs, we would only see each other a few times each year over that 10 year period during presentations in Dallas or Miami, Eric was my friend and coworker. Each time I would travel to Lsg HQ I would always walk from the test kitchen to Eric’s desk to say hello and catch up with him. I enjoyed his smarts, quick wit and his wonderful sense of humor. I was friends on Facebook with Eric as well, it seemed like each time I opened the app he had another photo of a new place he traveled to with his family.

    I will miss Eric

"Nothing prepares you for the grief you go through when losing a child. I called this funeral home at 2:00 am broken and could barely talk. The amount of compassion and empathy they showed me immediately let me know I found the right place to cremate my son. I cannot thank them enough for their professionalism, SINCERE concern, and commitment to making sure my son was honored in the most respectful way. I hope this Funeral home values her as much as my family and I do."

"I can’t say enough about how helpful and professional Dusty Martin, the funeral director at the Aria Cremation location on NW Highway has been. From my initial call, he was kind and informative. My friend died at home while on hospice and she was picked up in about an hour after receiving the call from the hospice nurse. The person who arrived to pick her up was also very professional/respectful and allowed us to take as much time with her as we wished. When I met with Dusty the next day about arrangements, he explained the process and options available without being pushy or trying to “sell” extras. Throughout the process, he kept me informed and, for example, was careful to be certain I understood the cost of the obituary I wanted and offered some options for reducing that cost if I wished. When I stopped by for another reason and started talking about some of the problems I was having with the pictures and media I hoped to use at a memorial lunch I was planning, he not only listened patiently but offered technology advice and let me use his personal media player. I have had experience arranging cremations for four others using two other local companies, and this experience with Dusty at Aria has been by far the best one I have had."

"My Daddy’s service and our family experience at Aria Northwest Highway was truly blessed. Funeral Director Dustin Martin is the kind of person that you would like to see on a more regular basis – but in his industry – you hope to not see him that often. That being said – THANK YOU DUSTIN for your unending kindness, compassion and friendship through the process. Meeting you and discussing Dallas History, Find A Grave and my Dad’s lifelong contributions to the great City of Dallas was simply wonderful! In memory of my dad James A. Dodd, Sr. – I want to personally thank you and let you know that you made everything better in that moment. Your calling to “Be There” is spot on. Aria has a one in a million guy in you! Bling Blinky of TEXAS Shout Out: God Bless You!!"
