I am heartbroken to know that my sweet cousin has passed.
We spent many years visiting on the phone, and I shall miss her very much, as am sure all of you do, who read this.
Heartfelt sympathy for Jody, Greg and Shirley especially during this time, for the loss that you feel is my loss, too. Please email Jody’s address and Telephone number when time allows.
Thank you, and God bless and comfort you during this time and always.
With Love and prayers,
Cousin Sheryl Pittard
Please accept my condolences. May your hearts find comfort in God (2 Corinthians 1:3,4), family, friends and good memories during this difficult time. My deepest sympathy to you.
I saw Judy sporadically over the last 10 years and was very touched by her mission with HUGS. Her heart was as big as her personality; and she was always a force to be reckoned with! I am deeply saddened by her passing at such a young age and send prayers and condolences to her family. When such a presence leaves us a large void remains
I just heard about Judy, and wanted to add my condolences to all the others you have and will receive. It’s been almost 40 years since my family and I were members at Richardson East, but the Broom family and so many others will always be in our hearts.
Sending love and prayers for comfort to Judy’s family and friends. I haven’t seen Judy in many years, so I was glad to see that wonderful smile in this picture. Anyone who ever knew Judy would recognize that smile in an instant. Here positive energy and all the good work she did live on!
Though not very well, I knew Judy in high school. I remember her as being so very nice and always wearing a beautiful smile. My deepest sympathy for her family. May she rest in peace.
My condolences to Judy’s family. I knew Judy in 2nd and 3rd grade atTerrace Elem. and again in high school. We met again at 20 th high school reunion, when she was working with children in Romania. What a huge heart she has. Blessings to all.
As so many have already mentioned, Judy’s big smile and her big heart defined her. What a wonderful lady. She was passionate and invested herself in her life mission. My condolences to family and friends.
I went to school with Judy. Her gregarious people skills and infectious smile always made you feel included and happy.
She has left this world much better off than she found it, and that’s quite an accomplishment. We all will miss her light.
Sympathy for Judy’s family and friends during this period of grieving. Judy and I attended Greenville Avenue Church of Christ and Greenville Avenue Elementary School. Later, I saw Judy at Prestoncrest Church of Christ; she was always a wonderful friend, had a warm outgoing personality. We would speak from time to time through the years after she formed HUG. Heaven will be richer.
Judy was one of the most giving and courageous people I have ever known. The work she did in Romania was amazing. She positively affected the lives of so many children, caregivers, and team members. I was a team member in July of 1995. I am so grateful for the opportunity to have gotten to know her, and I am so so grateful I was able to find her again and get back in regular contact with her some months back. Judy was such a wonderful person. She was my hero. I’ll never forget her, and one day I will see her again.
I just heard about Judy, and it is hard to believe. I will miss her—I went on one of her Romanian trips, and she inspired me so much I adopted 2 girls from there.
I am saddened to hear that ms broom passed away. She is the reason I have the life I have now. She helped my parents adopt me from Romania and I never personally got to thank her for helping bring me home but from the stories my parents told me she was the most sweetest person and loved by many! Rest In Peace❤️
I worked with Judy, as my first job during high school. She hired me to help her around the house, organizing, cleaning, running errands, and doing some light bookkeeping. I am sad to hear she’s passed away, but I know her legacy lives in. Her passion touched the lives of so many people. Rest in Peace, Judy.
I have had Judy on my heart and just found out today that she is in her heavenly home now. I was on her original team to Romania. It was an amazing trip that will last in my memory forever. She called me and said she wanted me to join her on the signature trip. This was an amazing woman and I’m so honored to have known and traveled with her.
