Obituary
Ronnie Dee Driver of Allen, TX, formerly of Dardanelle, AR, passed away at the age of 78 on November 7, 2017. He was born on December 18, 1938 to J. Everett and Gladys Driver in Lamesa, TX. Ronnie grew up in Lamesa with his brothers, Larry and Tony. He served his country in the United Sates Navy with an honorable discharge. After serving, he became an owner/operator of a trucking business in California. He and his family later moved to Arkansas to raise cattle and broiler chickens where he remained in the top 10 of the poultry broiler business. Ronnie was awarded the Grower of the Year in 1985. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, and watching sports. He also enjoyed traveling. Ronnie was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who adored his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents, J. E. and Gladys Driver, brother Larry Driver, and daughter Tammy Driver. Ronnie is survived by his loving wife Linda, his children Ricky (Jan) Driver of Russellville, AR, Ronald of Dardanelle, AR, Debbie (Gerald) Riley of Russellville, AR, Richard (Jodi) Driver of Allen, TX, 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, Tony (Debbie) Driver, Judy Cardinale, along with several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church in Dardanelle, AR. A U.S. military service will be held on December 18, 2017 at DFW National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to the American Lung Association in the memory of Ronnie.
