Obituary
Passed peacefully January 18, 2018. Born in Marlin, Texas to Evelyn and Willett Foster, he was raised in El Paso, Texas with his brother Joe. A graduate of Austin H.S. and Universityof Texas El Paso (then Texas Western), Dr. Foster went on to graduate first in his class from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. After serving as a research fellow at the National Institute of Health in D.C, he returned to join the faculty of UTSW. An acclaimed endocrinologist, he later served as Chairman of lnternal Medicine for sixteen years.
Dr. Foster was a ruling elder and renowned Sunday School teacher at First Presbyterian Church-Dallas, where he led the Foster Open Ring class for forty years. He is survived by his devoted wife, Dorothy Skinner Foster, sons Daniel, Mike, Chris, grandson John Foster, and his niece and nephews in El Paso. The family extends its especial gratitude to the faculty of UT-Southwestern, members and staff of FPC, and heartfelt thanks to the dedicated caregivers at Presbyterian Village North and Faith Hospice.————————————————————————————
