Seibert, Linda Elaine

Elaine was born August 17, 1946, in Kingstree, S.C. to Manual and Sarah Cannon.  She died March 8, 2018 in her home in Plano, TX, at the age of 71.

She grew up in Georgetown, SC with her sisters, Faye and Janice, and her brother, Mark.  She graduated from Georgetown High School and the Medical College of South Carolina as a Registered Nurse, ranked #1 in SC and #4 in the US on her RN certification board scores.  She was licensed in SC, TN, MS, FL, CA, NY and TX, and worked 22 years for Medical City Dallas as a Cardiac and Med/Surg Nurse.

Elaine was a devoted wife and mother, married to her husband, James Thomas Seibert, for 50 years, 38 of which were in Plano, TX, where they raised two children, Walter Aaron Seibert and Ashley Elaine Villalobos.  She was active in her church and spent many happy times with her family sailing, camping, gardening and traveling to South Carolina for family visits.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Manual and Sarah Cannon.  She is survived by her husband, Tom, her children Walter and Ashley and their spouses, Jennifer and Gilbert, her grandchildren Ella Mae and Henry Thomas, her sisters Faye Johnson and Janice Harrelson, her brother Mark Cannon, and an extended family of dear friends.

A Memorial Celebration will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 at her home in Plano, TX from 4pm to 7pm.

In lieu of flowers, she requested that you consider making a donation to establish a nursing scholarship.  A donation for the “Elaine Seibert nursing scholarship”, made out to: Plano Early Lions Club, PO Box 866262, Plano, TX 75086-6262, would be greatly appreciated.

Elaine and I were friends and classmates at Winyah. We drifted apart after high school but I kept in touch through family. My sincere condolences to her family. May you take comfort in your sweet memories of her.

to the family of linda elaine seibert sorry to hear the passing but i will always rember her as a friend and a sedond mom i rember her working at medical city but didnt know it was 22 yrs my u guys find comfert peace and closer knowing that she is in a better place she is watching down over u guys knowing that she is pain free rom 8 28 though 39 . god has her now she will always be w u guys may u all feel the peace love of god knowing that she is watching over u guys
