Flowers, Christine Lizell (Davis)
Obituary
Christine Lizell (Davis) Flowers, of Carrollton, TX, was born on February 22, 1958 in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Jacquelyn Joy Davis and the late Joseph Samuel Davis. She passed away peacefully at age 60 on July 18, 2018 in Allen, Texas. She graduated from Memorial High School; Tulsa, OK in 1976, Oklahoma State University in 1981, and Oklahoma State University for graduate school in 1982. Christine was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Samuel Davis; grandmothers, Eleanor Jolley and Liz Davis; and grandfathers, Virgil Jolley and J. “Mule” Davis. She is survived by her daughter, Samantha Christine Flowers of Sachse, TX and her son, Garrett David Flowers of Dallas, TX; brothers, Jay Davis & his wife Debbie of Boston, MA and David Davis and wife Laurie of Allen, TX; sister, Libby (Davis) Vermeire of Allen, TX; niece, Jackie Vermeire; and nephews, Cody Davis and his wife Emily Davis, Clayton Vermeire, Joseph Davis, Adam Davis, Luke Davis, and Great Nephew Sam Davis. Chris grew up in Tulsa, OK where she enjoyed being with friends and family, playing tennis, and participating in the Girl Scouts. She also spent every summer working at Camp Davis. She described Camp Davis as her “soul’s passion” and definitely extended that passion and love for the mountains to her children. She loved spending time on the Gulf Coast in Pass Christian, MS with her grandparents and family. Chris enjoyed all kinds of music and loved dancing and having fun. She seemed to never meet a stranger and therefore had a large variety of friends and interests. She was very involved in her children’s lives, including marching band and church activities. She enjoyed volunteering her time at both First Christian Church in Tulsa, OK and Northway Christian Church in Dallas, TX. Chris has been and always will be described as a woman who loved her family, friends, and the Lord unconditionally. She always made sure that the people she loved were taken care of, even if she herself was not in the best place. She is fondly remembered as being highly respectful to her loving parents, hard working in anything she put her mind to, and supportive towards her children in anything they pursued. She was a member of Northway Christian Church, Disciples of Christ. The family invites donations in Christine’s name to Northway Christian Church. Friends and family are welcome to attend the memorial service, officiated by Mark Bender, on Monday, July 30 at 11:00 a.m. at Northway Christian Church, 7202 W Northwest Hwy, Dallas, Texas, 75225. Arrangements are under the direction of ARIA Cremation Service and Funeral Home 19310 Preston Road Dallas, Texas 75252 214-306-6700

We will always remember our last time together with Chris at Camp Davis in 2014 on steak night. She had a great time that night totally enjoying the festivities and seemed to be having the best time of her life. She is in Gods hands now. God bless her.
