My condolences to Cindy, Mark and Holly and the rest of the family. I hope and pray that our loving and kind creator, Jehovah God, will bring you comfort and hope. Our Bible offers many words of comfort concerning our dead loved ones. One is found in the account at John chapter 11. Jesus friend, Lazarus, had died some miles away from were Jesus was at the time. When Jesus got to where Lazarus was he was met by Martha, Lazarus’ sister. She was grieving and Jesus promised her, in verses 23-25, that there would be a resurrection of the dead. Then on down to verses 43 and 44, Jesus called Lazarus out of the tomb in which he was buried and Lazarus was resurrected from the dead, turned loose and went back to his sisters. This is the kind of resurrection we can expect from Jesus with our loved ones who have died. There is much more about this at jw.org. I hope this has helped some. Steve
George was a senior in my outfit at A&M when I was a fish. We had a reunion of the outfit, Squadron 4 this past April and it was a pleasure to catch up with George during that weekend. On behalf of all of the Phantom Four members we send our deepest condolences to Cindy and the family. We shall miss him greatly.
I am also a Gas & Steam Turbine Guy
George was probably one of my best friends and boyfriend at Arlington High School. We went to every after football game dance and danced every dance. Our moms and dad’s never had to worry about us doing anything wrong because Mrs. Burke, our English teacher, was always a chaperone at the dances, and could attest for us. He was one of the most special people that I’ve known in my life. I actually got to see him at one of the reunions and Cindy was there. How pretty she was. I was so sorry to hear about his pancreatic cancer. I wish I would’ve known over the years that we lived so close in proximity. I would’ve loved to have known Cindy and his children, Holly and Mark. Of course, I would’ve loved for them to have known my daughter, Amy. Unfortunately, It was my dad who forbade me to see George ever again, as a boyfriend, but we remained great friends.
