Obituary

VERA ANN WEBSTER entered this world on April 6, 1957 at 1:35pm at Florence Nightingale Hospital Dallas, Texas. Her parents were Esther Connie Triolo Hart and John Brinton Hart. She passed away at 12:40am on September 29, 2018 at William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital/UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas at 61 years of age. Vera grew up in the Pleasant Grove area of Dallas and graduated from Samuel High School. She grew up with siblings: John Benton Hart, Ella Maria Denett, Camille E. Crawson, Esther F. Roth, and Mary Jane Marshall. She worked for Zale Corporation Jewelers for over 44 years in various positions—her last position was Telecommunications Coordinator in the Zale/Signet IT department. She loved her job but was looking forward to her retirement years. She lived in Grand Prairie as a young adult but moved to Coppell Texas in 2002 to be closer to work and family/friends. One of the proudest moments in her life was when she gave birth to her only son, Justin De Vaux Webster on April 22, 1981. She loved her Dallas Cowboys through the best of times and even during the most dismal years would not give up her hope for their success.  She was an avid collector of “Precious Moments” figurines and so looked forward to fine barbeque and delectable Italian food. She was preceded in death by her mother Esther C. Hart in 2000 and father John B. Hart in 2002. She is survived by son Justin De Vaux Webster, siblings John B. Hart, Ella M. Denett, Camille E. Crawson, Esther F. Roth, Mary Jane Marshall, 2 grandchildren, 3 nieces, 7 nephews, and 16 great nieces and nephews. Lifelong friends include but were not limited to Carol Lesueur, Susan Draper, Reba Bausley, Pat Villarreal, Sylvia Cutler, Linda Pate, and Marcy Stewart. During her final years she was especially close to Heather and Michael Garner, Austin, Grant, and Sydney Garner, Jackie Martin, Mary Jane Marshall and her grandkids Angelo and Anna Bella. A celebration and memory of her life will be held at Aria Cremation and Funeral Home at 2pm on Friday October 5, 2018—19310 Preston Road, Dallas, Texas 75252—214-306-6700. Her final wishes were for her remains to be cremated. She will be missed and fondly remembered for her kind ways that could be tempered with a feisty and spirited attitude. She was not shy and would willingly give her frank and honest opinion whether you liked it or not. I hope the Lord is prepared to receive her soul and spirit into his kingdom since she can at times be a handful. Vera, you will always be in our hearts, prayers, and thoughts. Arrangements are under the direction of ARIA Cremation Service and Funeral Home 19310 Preston Road Dallas, Texas 75252 214-306-6700

Vera was a very kind, caring and generous person. When another of our former Zales colleagues and good friend had a serious accident several years ago, aware that I was checking in on him regularly, she made it a point to put together “goodie bags” for me to take to him to cheer him up and help him in his long battle (8 years) to full recovery. She will be missed here on Earth, but I’m sure she will still be watching over us from Heaven.

I treasure your friendship and the good times we had together. Your spunk and not take no attitude helped me get a great deal on my 1997 Saturn when we went car shopping together. I miss you sweet friend. Rest in heavenly peace.

It is still hard to believe our Vera is gone. I will always treasure all the memories we shared, during good times and bad. She always had a giving heart making goodies for birthday’s and friends. She helped me through so much and I will always cherish the last Dallas game we watched together and just talking about “stuff” – I loved her and know she loved me. May you rest in peace my dear friend in the arms of the Lord. I will forever miss you. My continued love and prayers to all of her family and friends. Syl

"Nothing prepares you for the grief you go through when losing a child. I called this funeral home at 2:00 am broken and could barely talk. The amount of compassion and empathy they showed me immediately let me know I found the right place to cremate my son. I cannot thank them enough for their professionalism, SINCERE concern, and commitment to making sure my son was honored in the most respectful way. I hope this Funeral home values her as much as my family and I do."

"I can’t say enough about how helpful and professional Dusty Martin, the funeral director at the Aria Cremation location on NW Highway has been. From my initial call, he was kind and informative. My friend died at home while on hospice and she was picked up in about an hour after receiving the call from the hospice nurse. The person who arrived to pick her up was also very professional/respectful and allowed us to take as much time with her as we wished. When I met with Dusty the next day about arrangements, he explained the process and options available without being pushy or trying to “sell” extras. Throughout the process, he kept me informed and, for example, was careful to be certain I understood the cost of the obituary I wanted and offered some options for reducing that cost if I wished. When I stopped by for another reason and started talking about some of the problems I was having with the pictures and media I hoped to use at a memorial lunch I was planning, he not only listened patiently but offered technology advice and let me use his personal media player. I have had experience arranging cremations for four others using two other local companies, and this experience with Dusty at Aria has been by far the best one I have had."

"My Daddy’s service and our family experience at Aria Northwest Highway was truly blessed. Funeral Director Dustin Martin is the kind of person that you would like to see on a more regular basis – but in his industry – you hope to not see him that often. That being said – THANK YOU DUSTIN for your unending kindness, compassion and friendship through the process. Meeting you and discussing Dallas History, Find A Grave and my Dad’s lifelong contributions to the great City of Dallas was simply wonderful! In memory of my dad James A. Dodd, Sr. – I want to personally thank you and let you know that you made everything better in that moment. Your calling to “Be There” is spot on. Aria has a one in a million guy in you! Bling Blinky of TEXAS Shout Out: God Bless You!!"
