Hilst, John Donald

John was born on January 18, 1947 in Pekin, Illinois to Donald E. Hilst and Addie Eileen Stockert (Hilst) and passed away in Carrollton, Texas on October 2nd, 2018 at the age of 71.

John grew up in Pekin and graduated from Pekin Community High School in 1965.  He then started his career at Keystone Steel and Wire in Bartonville, IL.  In 1982,  he moved his family to Texas where he continued his career at Cargill followed by Mary Kay Cosmetics from where he retired in 2009.   John was always a hard-worker and while maintaining his primary career, he opened and grew his own company T.J. Computer Services.

John had a great love for baseball and especially appreciated the history of the great ballparks with Wrigley Field being his favorite.  He grew up a huge Cubs fan and became a Texas Rangers fan after his move to Dallas.

John will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
