Obituary
Marcella (Marcy) Katheryn Kuykendall was born on October 3, 1930 and passed away at home on October 12, 2018. She was one of 12 children born to Julian Harvey Alexander Hodges and Annie Jewell (Hartman) Hodges. Marcella grew up in Slaton, Texas and attended school there. She loved life and raised 9 children, 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 6 great, great grandchildren. She is survived by Jack Hutcheson and Jan Smith of Carrollton, TX, Marilyn and Ron Jiracek of Plano, TX, Leta and John Bowman of Farmers Branch, TX, Laura Kuykendall and Thomas Badillo of Wichita Falls, TX, Billy and Cindy Kuykendall of Cartwright, OK, Ricky Kuykendall of Dallas, TX, LaNita Eads and Sam Shelton of Gun Barrel City, TX and Daughter-in-Law Cathy (wife of Ronnie Hutcheson) and Tom Curtis. She was also survived by two of her brothers, Roy Hodges and Ralph and Lois Hodges of Lubbock, TX and a nephew that was like a brother, Thomas and Odessa Enox of West Texas and numerous other nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her best friend of many years, Wanda Dworcyzk and several of her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Kuykendall, her son, James (Ronnie) Hutcheson, daughter, Katheryn (Janie) Valadez and two great grandchildren, Talon and Kenslee Kuykendall as well as 9 of her brothers and sisters. Graveside services will be held October 26, 2018 in the Grovehill Memorial Park at 1 PM, officiated by Jim Johns.
