Dominoski, David

March 8, 1952 - May 27, 2013

David “Dave” Michael Dominoski, 61, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 27, 2013 following a heroic 26 month battle with pancreatic cancer.  He was born on March 8, 1952, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to the late Chester and Janice Dominoski.  Dave graduated from East Pennsboro High School in 1970 and married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Linda Stankovic, that same year.

Dave was a building equipment mechanic at Verizon for 34 years before retiring in 2007 and moving to McKinney, Texas in July 2010.  He was a devoted and caring husband and father, a beloved friend to many and an avid bass fisherman.  He participated in many fishing tournaments around the country and shared his love of the outdoors with his family.  He also loved baseball and coached many of his children’s teams and was an active attendant at his grandchildren’s games.  He loved his family and the Lord.  He will always be remembered for his kindness, gentle spirit and sense of humor.

Dave is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda, and his two children:  Christopher Dominoski of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; and Amy Petrof, married to Emery M. Petrof, III, of Plano, Texas.  He is also survived by six beautiful grandchildren:  Jocelyn (10), Michelle (9), Aidan (5), Zachary (2) and twins Aubrey and Hailey (6 weeks) and a sister, Janice Mullaney of Argos, IN.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Lifepointe Fellowship Church, 6374 County Road 161, McKinney, Texas 75071 or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (www.pancan.org).  Condolences to the family can be left on Dave’s caring bridge site at www.caringbridge.org/visit/davedominoski.

A memorial service celebrating his life was held on Saturday, June 1, at their home church, Lifepointe Fellowship Church in McKinney, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of ARIA Cremation Service and Funeral Home 19310 Preston Road, Dallas, Texas 75252 214-306-6700.

Excellent customer service, they made you feel like you were their only customer. Very helpful and explained what we should expect during the process. They basically took care of our needs during this time. They contacted DFW National Cemetery for us which made it a smooth experience. Definitely will use them again.
