Obituary
Edward Raymond Lindquist, age 86, died peacefully at home on January 10, 2019 in Plano, Texas. He was born on June 28, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois to his parents Anna (Miller) and Edward F. Lindquist. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War then attended Milliken University where he received a degree in Engineering. Upon graduation he accepted a position at American National Can as an Industrial Engineer where he worked for 36 years before retiring in 1995. A wonderful husband and father, Ed married his childhood sweetheart, Marlys Jean Petersen, in February of 1962, and had three children who loved him dearly. He is survived by his wife, Marlys, his children, Sheryl (Rob) Robertson of McKinney, TX, David (Nora) Lindquist of Frisco, TX and Tom (Nia) Lindquist of Carrollton, TX, his sister-in-law, Anita Petersen of Chicago, IL, a niece, a nephew, five grandchildren, and host of other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother-in-law, Ronald E. Petersen, and his nephew Bruce E. Petersen. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 11:00am at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1801 West Plano Parkway, Plano, TX 5070, with a luncheon immediately to follow. Friends will be received by the family during a visitation on Monday, January 14, 2019 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm at Aria Cremation Service and Funeral Home 19310 Preston Road, Dallas, Texas 75252. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the wonderful nurses, doctors, and staff at Harbor Chase of Plano and Ardent Hospice for their loving care and support. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
