Braswell, Frances

November 28, 1919 - January 17, 2019

Mrs. Frances Braswell, 99, born November 28, 1919 in Haynesville, LA to H.T. and Dora Traylor. She had 2 beloved brothers, and sister.  Her
first marriage to Paschal Odom led to his ranching family in West
Texas, where her only son was born.  After the death of her second
husband, Byron Braswell of Shreveport, she met Gordon Monten and began another phase of her life, living on both coasts, then happily settling for many years in Hemet, CA, traveling the Western U.S., Alaska and Canada, then moved to Sun City West, AZ for several active years,
before moving to Dallas in 2014.
She remained an energetic Louisiana gal her whole life, and leaves us all with fun & loving memories.
We wish to thank her dear friends and staff at the Emerson, and the Windsor Senior Living, who gave her extra laughs and love.  Finally  Lifeway Hospice who arrived on Christmas Eve and whose immediate care gave her several more weeks to share with family, then a peaceful passing. Survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Roby and Barbara Odom of Dallas, TX; granddaughter and son-in-law, Pascha and Tod Tieszen, and their three children Autumn, Amy, & Angel of Aubrey, Tx.  Nephew, Steven Griffith of Dallas, nieces: Elizabeth Traylor of Sacramento, CA, Vida Yancy of Shreveport, LA, 2 grandnieces, 3 grandnephews, and extended family of Cathy Stewart, and Gordon Monten, Jr.  After cremation, a private family ceremony will be held in Shreveport, LA.

Excellent customer service, they made you feel like you were their only customer. Very helpful and explained what we should expect during the process. They basically took care of our needs during this time. They contacted DFW National Cemetery for us which made it a smooth experience. Definitely will use them again.
