Wilkie, Sherrie D.
Obituary
Sherrie D. Wilkie, better known as ‘grandma’ or ‘raindrop baker’ went home to spirit peacefully on February 19th, 2019 at 12:45 am in far North Dallas, Texas from complications of COPD, and end stage renal disease with her daughter and hospice nurse at her side. She is survived by her son Randy Wilkie, her daughter Dianna Boswell, her grandchildren DaRon and Darius Fulmer, her sister Nancy, and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Born in Williamsport, PA, but spending most of her life in Elmira, NY, then Long Beach, Ca before moving to Dallas last October, Sherrie was a huge advocate for medicinal marijuana, as well as the legalization of it in California. She believed in treating all people, no matter the color of their skin, their sexual orientation/preferences, or their religion equally. The same went for all living beings whether it be a plant, or animal. Anyone that knew Sherrie also knew that she did not identify with traditional/organized religion. She followed more of an earthly/universal path. She thrived on maintaining her independence until she could no longer, and wished to be remembered as the ‘cussin, pot smokin, life lovin grandma’!

Momma, as I sit here reading this I hope you are smiling down on all of us from wherever you are now… see you in my dreams.
Please except our Heartfelt Condolences. Sherrie was a Kind Spirit and She will surely be missed. I Pray your strength as you go thru this difficult time. I know Sherrie understood that this world is not our home, and to all left behind I know it will all be clearer when we sit at the Masters Feet.

Sherrie, wow! You made it! What a wonderful life you had! I’m so glad we shared so much of it together. You were a solid support for me through some difficult times! I so enjoyed your baking and cooking too! But mostly your great spirit, your friendship, your stand for community, our time with the I Ching, your place in the hearts of many!
I deeply appreciate you and love you from the bottom of my heart.
