Rettig-Graham, Pamela Ann
Obituary
Pamela Rettig-Graham, 47, went home to be with the Lord on May 11, 2019. She passed peacefully surrounded by family in her home in Richardson, TX. Born May 21, 1971 in Rochester, NY, she lived there throughout her childhood and teenage years. She had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed hiking and spending time at the family cabin in upstate NY. Pamela led a life-long journey with Cystic Fibrosis, where the obstacles and challenges she faced shaped her personality with tenacity and determination. In 1993, she graduated from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where she met her husband, Michael. In 1997, Pamela received the gift of life through a double lung transplant. In the almost 22 years after the transplant, Pamela lived life to its fullest. She became an amazing wife, a loving mother to two beautiful girls, and she built a deep relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Pamela was a member of Watermark Community Church of Dallas where she enjoyed many great relationships and her faith became strong. She was fully devoted to her family, had a wonderful sense of humor, was highly intelligent, and truly loved her friends. Survivors include her beloved husband, Michael Graham and two daughters Corinna (9) and Darcey (7) of Richardson, TX; mother, Donna Rettig of Rochester, NY; father, Charles Rettig and step-mother, Diane Rettig of Rochester, NY; sister, Barbara Sisson, brother-in-law, Thomas Sisson, and nephew, Ty Sisson, of Auburn, CA; mother-in-law, Kay Graham of Atlanta, GA; brother-in-law, Greg Graham, sister-in-law, Jane Graham, nieces and nephews, Nolan and Rebecca Graham, of Duluth, GA; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Pamela was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elizabeth Avenel, Rose Rettig, and Bill Rettig. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, May 20th at Watermark Community Church, 7540 LBJ Freeway, Dallas, TX 75251. There will be a special children’s message during the service. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 .
