After the moves from Wisconsin to California, he found his real passion for success with Chilton Corporation (TRW) based in Texas. He climbed the corporate ladder until he decided that it was time to retire in 1990 and stay in Richardson, Texas. Wes and Marie’s leisure pursuits focused on golf, family, golf, travel and golf!!! To Wes’s family, We are so sorry to hear of Wes’s death. We lived at Atria for 8 years and had breakfast with Wes many mornings. We remember great discussions and many laughs over the years. His devotion for his family was evident. He was a good man and a good friend. He will be missed.
Wes was a dear friend. We had great times together when Marie was alive as well as after. When he guit playing golf and moved away we didn’t talk as much but usually several times a year and had lunch several times st the club. He was a good friend and I will miss him. He always talked about his daughters who he loved very much. RIP my friend.
Was so sorry to hear of Wes’ passing. I knew him for 4 years while living at Atria and enjoyed getting to know him. He was always upbeat, fun, and always a gentleman.
Linda and I are so sorry for your loss. Wes is one of my few hero’s in my life. He was the image of honesty and integrity and his constant, upbeat attitude had such a positive impact on all that knew him. I do know that when I eventually get to heaven (hopefully) he won’t still be able to say he has a 19 handicap but I am sure he will still win my $2.00 when we play. We loved Wes dearly.
I want to take this opportunity to thank Wes once again for getting me started on the path that led to resident photographer at Atria. He called me up one day in April of 2014 and asked if I would take pictures of new residents for display in the dining room. This soon branched out to photographing events and allowed me to get to know most of the residents here. Thanks, Wes, I’ll always remember you.
I was so saddened to hear of Wes’passing.
I so enjoyed his
bright spirit and
his joyful obsession
with cookies. We
often joked about it
at Atria. I will
miss him greatly. He was a wonderful man and a good friend.
