Obituary
Karin Doris Wilkinson, 77, lived in Carrollton, Texas, died peacefully into the arms of Jesus on August 24, 2019. Karin was born on Valentine’s Day, February, 14, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois, to Harold and Doris Dykstra. She spent the majority of her years in Chicago and Hinsdale, Illinois, having married Ronald Wilkinson in 1962, raising a Son, Douglas and a daughter, Cynthia while earning an associate degree. Later after retiring from Bristol Myers in 1993, as an Executive Secretary, she moved to Dallas, Texas where she continued to work as an Executive Secretary for several firms. Karin had a passion for reading suspense thriller novels, loved the Lord, and loved her children. She was a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas and was known for her sweetness towards others. Karin is survived by her two loving children, Douglas Ronald Wilkinson and his wife Barbara of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Cynthia Karyn Wilkinson, of Dallas, Texas, one sister, Norma Jean Barnard. She is blessed with 3 grandchildren, Arrynn Wilkinson and his wife Bailey, Colton Wilkinson and Dakota Wilkinson. Karin has 2 adorable great grandchildren Belle Madelyn and Baker Claire. Karin was preceded in death by both her father, Harold, her mother, Doris and her brother, Ronald Dykstra. Relatives and friends are welcome at a celebration reception of her life on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the home of her daughter, Cyndi Wilkinson, 3808 Stockton Lane in Dallas, Texas from 2 – 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are welcome at either American Diabetes Association (use the Memorial Donation Form on their website) or National Breast Cancer Foundation (https://donate.nationalbreastcancer.org/). Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
