Pennington, David Perrett

Obituary

David Perrett Pennington was born on March 10, 1971 to Joe and Linda Pennington in Denton, Texas.  He graduated from West Plano Senior High 1989 and then went to North Texas University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in business in l995.  David left this world way too soon September 23, 2019. David had one sibling Joe Byron Pennington, II, his best friend.  Though they were born 13 months apart they were as close as any set of twins.  They had a mysterious ability to know what each other was thinking and feeling, even though their personalities were as different as night and day.  They were very close and protective of each other.  David was very thoughtful and willing to help at any time in any situation.  His friends and family knew to call him in times of need and rest assured he would be there for them.  He loved his friends and family fiercely and they loved him.  He loved his cats and spoiled them all, they were his babies.  David had a beautiful and loving girlfriend, Robyn Ziembinski, who he fawned over and loved with all his heart.  The couple was inseparable and always happy together, laughing and joking and making plans for the future.  After college David went into real estate following in the family footsteps but soon realized he was not the 9-5 office type.  He enjoyed working with his hands, working on cars and projects and around the house.  He loved doing projects with Robyn and his mom.  David was very sensitive, sweet and emotional.  David was especially close to his mother Linda who preceded him in death on July 13, 2019 which had a devastating effect on David.  He was also preceded in death by his grandfather Dan Perrett, uncle Ronald Perrett, grandfather Byron Ervice Pennington and grandmother Harriet Pennington. David is survived by his brother Joe Byron Pennington, II, his father Joe Byron Pennington and his wife Janet, his uncle Danny Perrett and wife Marilyn, his uncle Steve Pennington and wife Janell, his grandmother Sadie Perrett, stepbrother Toby Shelton and wife Kandy, cousin Jessica Witcher and husband James. Joe, I had only met David a couple of times. But, by sympathy and empathy your heartbreak is shared. I mourn standing with you. With my own brother people that know one of us often comment that by knowing one they knew us both. Love is such an inadequate word, it narrows the total scope of its reach and power to connect us. Brother is one of it’s more powerful incarnations or facets, if you will. So am i / are we your brothers and sisters. Death will never fully separate us, nor time and space; the heart of a brother will never stop pouring its love on the other. God hold and bless you and all your family; me and mine are at your service.

Joe brought so much joy and laughter to everyone. I remember when we were 15 we would all sneak out and he would teach us round house kicks. I’m so sorry to this entire family for recent loss and tragedy. You are all in my prayers.

"Nothing prepares you for the grief you go through when losing a child. I called this funeral home at 2:00 am broken and could barely talk. The amount of compassion and empathy they showed me immediately let me know I found the right place to cremate my son. I cannot thank them enough for their professionalism, SINCERE concern, and commitment to making sure my son was honored in the most respectful way. I hope this Funeral home values her as much as my family and I do."

"I can’t say enough about how helpful and professional Dusty Martin, the funeral director at the Aria Cremation location on NW Highway has been. From my initial call, he was kind and informative. My friend died at home while on hospice and she was picked up in about an hour after receiving the call from the hospice nurse. The person who arrived to pick her up was also very professional/respectful and allowed us to take as much time with her as we wished. When I met with Dusty the next day about arrangements, he explained the process and options available without being pushy or trying to “sell” extras. Throughout the process, he kept me informed and, for example, was careful to be certain I understood the cost of the obituary I wanted and offered some options for reducing that cost if I wished. When I stopped by for another reason and started talking about some of the problems I was having with the pictures and media I hoped to use at a memorial lunch I was planning, he not only listened patiently but offered technology advice and let me use his personal media player. I have had experience arranging cremations for four others using two other local companies, and this experience with Dusty at Aria has been by far the best one I have had."

"My Daddy’s service and our family experience at Aria Northwest Highway was truly blessed. Funeral Director Dustin Martin is the kind of person that you would like to see on a more regular basis – but in his industry – you hope to not see him that often. That being said – THANK YOU DUSTIN for your unending kindness, compassion and friendship through the process. Meeting you and discussing Dallas History, Find A Grave and my Dad’s lifelong contributions to the great City of Dallas was simply wonderful! In memory of my dad James A. Dodd, Sr. – I want to personally thank you and let you know that you made everything better in that moment. Your calling to “Be There” is spot on. Aria has a one in a million guy in you! Bling Blinky of TEXAS Shout Out: God Bless You!!"
