John David was such an amazing presence with such a mischievous side that was hilarious! I pray for Carol Ann and his daughters and family and my dear friend Carol Gremillion. You are a wonderful family and I wish you all of the comfort the Lord provides.
Heaven just acquired one of the most beautiful, Godly souls. Carol, you and John David were my first ‘second’ parents. My heart is breaking for all of you. You are each in my prayers right now. I love you.
We loved John David and we have loved the Ferguson family over the years. We’ve been praying for you and will continue to do so. John David was a wonderful man.
JD has been such an inspiration to our Covenat Class. We share in your loss.
I have known John David from childhood, and I count my blessings for that privilege. He was always so quick to extend a welcomed arm of inclusion and a sincerity of concerned thoughts for the human other; for exclusion was foreign to him. He could fill a room full of laughter, but a unique laughter that had the potential to settle any uneasiness or even calm the pangs of life that may surround us momentarily. For such laughter enveloped the very traits innate in his spirit: the love of God, the love of his family, and the love of others. What a fine human being and evidence proves so through his beautiful family members, who carry with them his traits that accomplished great things for the betterment of humankind. Perhaps, with time, the very spirit of that laughter may be the most important factor comforting those who miss him deeply and love him wholly. Heaven is even sweeter and more dear knowing that John David is in the presence of His King, who fashioned his spirit with that all-encompassing laughter that connected us all to God’s love.
My deepest condolences for your loss of John David. I have such fond memories of him and his sweet family as we were growing up in the church in Bovina. He had that kind and loving spirit then. Prayers for your comfort and peace as you remember him in the coming days.
My heart is saddened, but my soul rejoices with the Ferguson family and friends, on the promotion of John David to his Eternal Home. May the Lord bless you with peace, comfort and the fragrance of sweet memories. Fervent prayers go with each of you. With love in Him, Becky (Hathaway) Rittenberry.
R.I.P. John. All the best to friends and family.

I found myself crying after reading that obituary because John was so full of life and joy…one of my favorite memories of him is that at the end of every month if he achieved the $$ in sales that he had projected, he would swing by my desk, lean down right in my face and with his index finger extended say gleefully,
” I MADE MY NUMBER!!”
Because I knew that he really knew this, I would always say,
“John, you know you didn’t make your number. GOD made your number!” He would always agree and we got a good laugh about it every month. Can’t wait to see him again!
John helped my wife and I fly into Dallas for a Cirrus event a few years ago and appreciated it very much. What a great guy. Think of him often even though didn’t
Know him very long. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Carol and his entire family.
Our prayers seek Comfort for your precious family John David… You will be truly missed….so much love in our hearts for all of you
