On Friday, October 25th 2019, John Austin Burtis, loving husband, father, and grandfather was called to heaven. John is survived by his wife Pam, daughter Ginger, son Austin (Michelle), grandson AJ, nieces, nephews, a host of extended family members, and a multitude of individuals whose lives he has touched.
John was born June 30, 1941 in Denison, Texas. He was a third- generation pharmacist and had Pharmacies in Denison and Irving, Texas. He was loved by both employees and customers. Ginger and Austin were blessed to have their dad as a best friend. He was known as a very giving person, had a great sense of humor and was a role model and hero to many.

A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 p.m on Saturday, November 2nd 2019, at Irving Bible Church, 2435 Kinwest Parkway, Irving, TX 75063.

He will be missed by family and friends. He was a wonderful caring man.
John was the best boss ever I loved working at Gibson Pharmacy with him such a sweet man, him and Pam made us all feel like family, he will ne missed and was definitely an amazing person
