Great memories from the home building business. Also good times with a Delmar And Jo on our trips to London and the Carribean together. Talked with Delmar a lot the past six months on my visits to Lowe’s. A very good friend in Delmar I will miss.
Wally was larger than life. We consider ourselves so blessed to meet him at Lowe’s. I was so glad that my young sons could meet a WWII vet like Wally. Such a courageous generation he represents. Thank you for serving Wally.
My brother Red Marron and I did all of Wally’s flooring while he was building homes in Plano and North Dallas. Wally had a tremendous pride in his homes that he built. He serviced his customers before, during, and after the sale like no one else. Wally always had a great attitude toward others. My condolences to Jo and all the family. May the peace of the Lord be with you all.
I worked with Wally at Lowes for more than 11 years. We became good friends as we discovered many mutual friends from Greenville and Plano. I posted a notice of his passing on the McKinney Cares page on Facebook. Dozens of people who knew him as customers from Lowes commented on how much they are enjoyed having him wait on them. RIP Wally, will miss your stories. Jim
