Obituary
After a lifetime of love and devotion to family and friends, Carol Anne Hubmer passed away January 29, 2020 surrounded by loved ones. Carol was born in Seattle, Washington on August 26, 1944 to Irv and Sheila Reising, the eldest of three sisters. She graduated from Sealth High School in 1962 and attended the University of Washington. There she met graduate student George Humber from Minnesota while attending the new student dance. They married September 4, 1965. Over 54 years of marriage she had 4 children and 7 grandchildren and created a lifetime of happy memories. She was gracious to everyone and worked many years as a preschool teacher. she delighted in growing beautiful flowers, creating the most enchanting yard in Twin Creeks and was an avid member of the Allen Garden Club. She loved her friends and Suncreek Methodist Church where she worshipped for over 20 years. Most of all she loved her children and grandchildren. She made her house a second home for all who loved her where anyone was welcomed for a pizza night, wine tasting or margaritas by the pool. Carol is survived by her husband of 54 years, George Hubmer; son Michael Hubmer and his wife Terrie, daughter Cathy Black and her husband Scott; daughter Chrissie Boyette and her husband Perry; son Tom Hubmer and his wife Krista; grandchildren McKenna Black, Colin Black, Ronnie Hubmer, Will Boyette, Claire Boyette, Ellis Hubmer and Sammy Hubmer. Services will be held Monday, February 3, 2020 at 2:30PM at Suncreek Methodist Church, 1517 W McDermott Drive, Allen, Texas 75013.
