Calvin Teel JR, 79 years old, died at Medical City Frisco, on February 1st, 2020. Calvin “Cal” Teel, Jr., age 79, died in Frisco, Texas on February 1, 2020. Born January 9, 1941 in Clanton Alabama, Cal lived nationwide and in Europe while in service with the United States Army. Cal was a veteran of the Viet Nam War, where he earned numerous medals including the Bronze Star and the Distinguished Flying Cross for heroism while participating in aerial flight. Cal retired as Major in 1980 and settled in Plano Texas. His military service was followed by a successful second career as a plant manager for companies McCormick & Company and Century Products. Cal finally retired for good in 2011. Outside work Cal enjoyed golf at Canyon Creek Country Club where he could often be seen teeing off in the coveted first time slot of the day. He also enjoyed spending time with his six grandchildren whenever he could. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Carol; son, Calvin and his wife Cynthia; daughter, Lyn Teel and her boyfriend Brian; and son, Michael. Survivors also include his grandchildren Kaden, Zhanna, Nathaniel, Hailey, Sawyer and Ryder Teel; as well as, brothers Charles and Roger and sister Nancy. Cal was proceeded in death by his parents JD and Louise Teel. Relatives and friends are welcome to visit with the family from 12pm until 3pm Monday, February 10, 2020 at Aria Cremation and Funeral Home, 19310 Preston Road, Dallas Texas. Funeral services will begin at 3pm. Cal will be buried with full honors at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

So sorry to hear about Cal’s passing. Spent lot of great time on the golf course with him at Canyon Creek Country Club. Always full of jokes and fun to be around. My thoughts are with you.
I lost a good friend 2/1/2020. Your family lost a loved member. The world lost a great man. You are lost to us, but you will never be forgotten. My sincerest condolences to the family of Cal Teel.
